Contemporary art with texture, movement, and quiet drama.

Original works by Erika Haydee. Inspired by contrast, balance, and the beauty in imperfection.

About the Artist

Erika Haydee

Through texture, light, and material, Erika Haydee creates abstract works that explore transformation, memory, and the emotional traces that shape human experience.

Working in mixed media, she builds tactile surfaces where acrylic, texture, and gold leaf become a visual language of resilience, silence, and renewal.

Her practice invites viewers to slow down, look beyond the visible surface, and discover the stories held within matter itself.

How each piece comes to be.

Every work is built by hand, in layers. There is no fixed plan — the surface is worked and reworked until it holds its own tension between light and dark, strength and fragility.

  1. i

    Foundation

Texture is laid down first — a raw, tactile ground on canvas or panel.

  2. ii

    Layering

Black, gold, white, and the occasional reddish tone are built up in passes.

  3. iii

    Contrast

Light is set against dark until the composition finds its balance.

  4. iv

    Finish

The piece is sealed and signed — imperfections kept, not corrected.
